James Madison University
The PTSD Awareness 5K in Memory of Sgt Cernohorsky is being hosted by JMU’s Military and Operational Intelligence Association and the Student Veterans Association in loving memory of Ryan J. Cernohorsky, USMC, to help raise awareness about Veteran PTSD. Proceeds from the event will be donated to a 501c3 charity focused on serving those impacted by PTSD.
This 5K will be held on the Festival Lawn at James Madison University. Sign in will begin at 10:30am and the event will begin at 11:00am.
Following the 5K race, the Military and Operational Intelligence Association will be hosting a post-run gathering for all runners/walkers at Three Notch’d Brewing Co. where proceeds from each pint of beer purchased will support the cause.
We hope to see you out there to help us raise awareness on and around JMU’s campus about Veteran PTSD and bring attention to a problem that we hope to help put an end to. If you cannot make the race but still want to contribute, there is an option to place a donation beneath the ticket selection.
We want to thank all of you for your contribution and support of this event in memory of Ryan.
