04 Apr Bike & Brew for Safe Routes to School
February 16, 2018 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Three Notch’d Craft Kitchen & Brewery
520 2nd St. SE
The 2nd Annual Bike & Brew is set to repair and maintain all of the bikes used in the Charlottesville Public School System!
Safe Routes to School, CAMBC, Community Bikes, and Three Notch’d Brewery will join forces to fix over 100 bikes in one evening at Three Notch’d Craft Kitchen & Brewery on Friday, February 16th. The bikes being serviced are used in a wide range of activities at the City schools including PE class, after-school programs, Fun fairs, Bike rodeos, and more! Bikes are becoming a true part of the culture in our schools and community. Safe Routes to School is working towards having a permanent fleet of bikes at every city school. You can help us achieve our goal while sipping on some suds.
How can you help?
Consider donating a new or used balance bike at Bikes & Brews! We are building a citywide Pre-K balance bike program and need your help! The idea is simple, teach them at a young age allowing them to enhance their skills as they grow! By donating a balance bike in working condition, you will be contributing to increasing the bike proficiency of young children in your community.
Want to help, but you are a bike novice?
$1.00 per pint sold between 5pm and 8pm on Friday, February 16th will be donated to Safe Routes and will go to buy more bikes in the Charlottesville school system. Drink a beer for CHARITY!
